Beau Jo’s Idaho Springs
Pizza in Idaho Springs? Beau Jo’s is the place.
Passing through Clear Creek County (or crawling, depending on the time of year)?
Stop for pizza in Idaho Springs at the original Beau Jo’s, home of our first oven and famous Colorado Mountain Pie. First served over forty years ago, the Mountain Pie quickly became an iconic offering.
Our Mountain Pie, along with every other pie, brings a perfected dough-sauce-cheese combination right to your taste buds. Our salad bar completes the selection, offering an array of healthy, fresh choices.
Idaho Springs is a Colorado town rich with history, and we’re proud to be a part of it for another forty years.
**We love furry friends as much as you do, however Beau Jo’s Colorado Style Pizza only allows registered service dogs on our outside patios.
It all started in 1880 when Charles Shields constructed a small building on Miner Street in downtown Idaho Springs. After a few tenants, Beau Jo’s founder bought the building with big dreams of reinventing pizza in Colorado. Forty+ years and seven locations later that dream is alive, but Idaho Springs will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Whether it’s summer, winter, or spring there’s countless things to do in Colorado’s Front Range. Hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, boarding, trail running, you-name- it. Instead of road raging on your way back to Denver, stop in for warm food and a cold beer. When you hit the road again, you’ll be refreshed and ready for the last bit of drive ahead.
For locals and longer stays, we have private party rooms to accommodate sports teams, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties and more. Simply call to book! As you polish off the last bits of crust with honey (white, wheat or gluten free crusts, might we add), be sure to post your epic action shots. We have free WiFi.
Why Is Beau Jo’s “the Best”?
We begin each day by making the dough fresh, then we continue making it fresh all day long. The dough is rolled to order, crust folded to create a “containment system” for the next step in pizza making: the toppings.
Every mountain pie we serve is complete with an entire mountain of toppings. It’s not uncommon to serve 5+ pound pizzas. Skiing takes it out of you and we know what you need to feel replenished.
If you’re looking for gluten-free or vegetarian dishes, check out the menu for a variety of items.
And lastly, don’t let your hectic schedule dictate your love of pizza. We’ve got takeout and take n’ bake options!
Don’t Want Pizza? No Problem.
We can’t always want pizza. (Well, some people can.) If you visit and the smell of baking pizza dough doesn’t excite you, check out our variety of creative appetizers, full entrée salads, hearty sandwiches, our infamous calzones, and desserts!
